Yarmouth Fire Rescue is currently accepting applications for the positions of Career Firefighter / Paramedics. The Town of Yarmouth has a year-round population of 8,500 residents with a full-service Fire-Rescue department responding to approximately 1,700 calls for service annually. We provide 24-hour Paramedic coverage to our community as well as Paramedic intercepts for neighboring towns.

Applicants must possess a current State of Maine EMS license. Preferred certifications as Firefighter 1 & 2 and NIMS 100, & 700. Applicants must also pass a background check and respiratory medical clearance.

Pay Range – Firefighter / Paramedic $25-26/hr

Maine State Retirement 50% after 20 years

Longevity Steps at 2,4,6, and 12 years

13 Holidays / 40 Hours EPL / 80 hours vacation after 1 year / Overtime after 42 hours

Health Insurance – Paid at 85% Employee Pays – 15%

Full On-Site Gym / Regional Fire Training Facility

Shift Hours – 1 on/1 off/1 on / 5 off
